Near the beginning of the fall semester, students travel to Camp Crestwood on the outskirts of Louisville and spend a weekend growing in their faith and/or exploring Christianity for the first time through talks, worship, and small groups with other students.
This weekend is perfect for students who are new to Cru to meet students from University of Louisville while getting off of campus and having a blast. There is plenty of free time for hanging out, relaxing, ultimate frisbee, football, basketball, and more!
From December 28-January 1, over 1000 students from Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and West Virginia gather in Greensboro, NC at the Sheraton Four Seasons to encounter Jesus Christ through four days of vibrant music, powerful teaching, intimate community, and radical acts of compassionate service.
Students can attend breakout sessions, apologetics forums, men’s and women’s sessions, and several parties including the New Years Eve Bash and concerts with bands like Rend Collective and more. Leaders and students from Cru movements around the world come to talk about their countries and how students can impact the world.
Jesus Christ said, “Come follow me,” and He’s still issuing that same life-changing invitation today. But what does it really look like to follow Jesus? What impact does following Him have on your school, relationships, work, and future? More than that, is following Jesus worth all that it might cost you?

At our men’s retreat, we explore Biblical manhood. Paul says in 1 Corinthians 16:13-14, “Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love.” We have been called to lead courageously, reject passivity, accept responsibility, and pursue humility, through repentance and faith in Christ. Our retreat is a time of encouragement, conviction, learning, and fun!
At our retreat, we explore Biblical womanhood while encouraging each other, building friendships, worshiping God, and having fun!
Every year, UofL Cru students travel to the most popular spring break destinations (usually Destin, FL) to share the good news of Jesus Christ with students from across the United States. This trip is perfect for students regardless of their confidence in sharing the Gospel because they will receive training on some of the tools that Cru uses from fellow students. Of course, there is plenty of time to hang out, relax, and enjoy the sun!
